Cork Blimey!

There's nothing like a deadline to get the creative juices flowing!
Studio SteakHaus has been stirring up the dust (and creating plenty of
it) in the Shed workshop to see if we can pull it together for the
show.

The news is good - there will be three new items in the WMY show.
Working titles for these pieces so far:
'Picture This';
'Cork Blimey';
and 'Big Tack'...

Feasties

Feasties_printwork_teaser_2

Feasties is a world designed to illustrate food chains found in different environments. Shown exclusively at 'What's mine is yours' are three posters depicting a woodland, ocean and garden scenario. The images are designed to be abstract but informative and to exist in a childs and adults world. A series of books and range of toys are planned for 2011. Keep your eyes out for FEASTIES!

Designed by STUDIO NMO & SAM JOHNSON DESIGN.

Breaking News from the WMY Newsdesk!

Since I last wrote the project has been joined by contributing designers Zeal and Steakhaus.  You can find their biographies in the aptly named 'biography section.'

Designer Richard Shed who conceived and is curating the show, has been joined by MIa Thittichai to help design the exhibition space.

The exhibition has been granted Icon Trail status.

We are busily preparing for the end of the month. We hope to see you there.

Sam and Nima met through a mutual appreciation of each other’s work and the life-changing event that is fatherhood. About two years ago they began working on a project to create a world that would educate children whilst also being fun and visually unique. The core of the idea focuses on teaching children how to look beyond their world and into the great outdoors.
